On November 16, 2009 the exhibition IncaGold – 1000 year curse Exhibition was opened at the Spilberk Castle in Brno. Up to 90 original golden exhibits, very important to the history of arts and initially coming from the Museo de Oro in Lima/ Peru, are the highlights of the exhibition. Now in Europe, a unique compilation of the Incas’ wealth shows masks, mugs, bowls and jewellery made of solid gold dated from 400 BC to 1,500 AD. The golden exhibits are aglow with the magic darkness. Coca bags and enormous beer mugs bear witness to hallucinogenic ceremonies. Great burial objects give an idea of the rulers’ importance. The exhibition in Brno takes place in the prestigious and representative premises at the West Wing of Castle Špilberk and is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.

A picture exhibition of the Dutch photographer Rogier Fokke who has been engaged in portraiting the faces of the Roma people was opened at the Roma Museum on 12 November 2009 and closes on 14 March, 2010. Behined every picture there is a story, which very often speaks about exclusion, persecution or escape.

GRAND PRIX
If you don´t know what MotoGP is then it was a mistake to click on this link. MotoGP is currently the most exciting form of motorised sport in the world, forget cars of any kind and the boring F1! The MotoGP "circus" comes to Brno in the third week of August every year to race on the new(ish) automotodrom to the west of the city near Rosice. The area quickly fills with visitors from all across Europe who all come to watch the racing at this exciting track. As well as having a track that makes the riders work hard, for westerners the ticket price is very cheap, the beer is very cheap. Beer, food, shades, sun hat and something to sit on.
In order to find reasonable accommodation, please contact me as early as possible, preferrably in January.
