Driving in Czech Republic
The road traffic rules in the Czech Republic are mostly equal to the rules in other European coutries. It is necessary to remember:
- vehicles keep to the right
- safety belts are obligatory in localities as well as outside of them
- the maximum permitted speed is 90 km/h, in close localities 50 km/h, on the motorway 130 km/h
- it is prohibited to drive under influence of alcohol
- vehicles must have lights switched on all the time
- it is necessary to use a baby seat for children under 12 years and 150 cm
